Its 2018 - what are we going to do differently?

January 17, 2018

This month at the Birmingham Training Kings Christian Breakfast event I shared on Time, Season and Purpose, this took place at our new location The Hampton by Hilton Hotel on Broad Street in the City Centre

There was great feedback  from everyone. One of the Scriptures that was shared was Ecclesiastes 3v1

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven" (KJV)

I spoke on the different seasons in our lives, and although this was our first event for the New Year. I asked the question - What are we going to do in 2018 that will be different from what we would normally do in 2017?

Do we look at the mountains in our lives as obstacles, hindrances, or stepping-stones to our success? Our perception on things determines our success or failures.

I mentioned how I had procrastinated in terms of re-launching my business from Christian Events Management, and I was determined on Monday 1st January 2018 that I was going to do this under my name Darren Blackwood Events Management Ltd. I delayed doing this for approximately 1 year making every excuse not to get this done. I’m busy etc. But I did it, and now everything else is now falling into line. I basically had to take a leap of faith in terms of getting it done but the main thing is that I did it.

Sometimes in life we make situations more difficult than what they actually are for ourselves.

Proverbs 3v5 states;

Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not to thine own understanding in all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy path.

It’s a continued process ... change is always inevitable but we have to prepare our mind-set for the transition and the transformation to take place.

It has been often said and it is indeed true that we are waiting on God when in fact that God is actually waiting on us.

Philippians 4v13 (NKJV) states I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

We have no excuses, we have everything we need to make a difference not only in our own lives but everyone else we come into contact with.

So be encouraged make 2018 your best year yet
